Dean, the proud owner of an Aquila 44 Yacht Power Catamaran, invites you on board as he shares his tips and tricks for grilling up mouthwatering slow cooked pork ribs and BBQ chicken wings.
Dean grew up in a household where his father took to cooking and passed along his culinary passion. Dean, who touches food every day and spends much of his free time in the kitchen, affirms that “Life centers around food. People like to gather around good food”. The layout of the galley and easy ability to cook onboard were important factors that Dean took into account when deciding on an Aquila.
With a galley strategically placed between the aft deck and the salon, it is easy and enjoyable to cook for and serve guests inside and out as well as on the flybridge. As Dean emphasizes, while enjoying 360˚ views, “This is a social boat!” Dean’s favorite feature: the bar area, which opens up so that friends can sit at the bar and still participate without being in the way. The open L-shaped layout design of the galley is also ideal for cooking, allowing Dean to craft up his creations without being left out of the conversation.
Every Aquila comes equipped with a Kenyon electric grill – the ideal grill for cooking from the comfort of your own boat. Mike Reischmann, of Kenyon Grills, joins Dean and highlights the even cooking features and easy clean up tips. To make it even easier to cook while at sea, Kenyon now offers a convenient app allowing you to find ingredients and easy to follow steps all from your phone, for free!
