Innovation comes from a tenacious disposition to question, to be inventive and to generate results. Aquila embraces innovation as one of its utmost tenets. Groundbreaking features, design, style and systems are melded to create a power catamaran that appeals to experienced, as well as novice yachtsmen.
From spectacular windows to inviting open spaces, Aquila cabins feel more like your villa on the water than a traditional boat cabin as you delight in panoramic views that fill the space with natural light.
Nothing makes a boat more welcoming than to be open and spacious. One innovative feature unique to Aquila’s is the window partition between the aft deck and the interior galley which lifts, and the countertop folds out to create a service bar. The open L-shaped layout design of the galley is also ideal for cooking, allowing the chef to craft up his creations without being left out of the conversation.
When the entertaining culminates and the evening turns to night, those remaining onboard are treated to intimate privacy through the masterful use of space. Extra-large hull side windows make staterooms bright and vibrant. Integrated opening portlights provide natural ventilation when desired. Storage abounds so spending time aboard on long distance explorations is easily tenable.
Owners are given a wide variety of the latest proven technologies that make owning and operating an Aquila yacht undemanding. The mechanical spaces are logically designed and extensively labeled for easy maintenance. Day check points are all easily accessible. Multifunction displays, digital controls, joystick operation, engine monitoring displays, thrusters, and widely spaced main engines make operating easily accomplished by a single couple.
Through the use of engineered carbon fiber cross members in larger Aquila Power Catamarans, great strength and rigidity are delivered without adding performance compromising weight or taking up larger living spaces with oversized construction elements. Bulbous bow design creates an exceptionally smooth and efficient performance.
Typically found only in custom and high-performance applications, Aquila has engineered a transitioning foil that allows the boat to rise and descend based on speed. The Aquila Hydro Glide Fixed Foil bridges both hulls and includes two independent foils on each transom. The added dihedral angle of a V shape to the main foil makes the transition up and down from "floating to flying" smooth and predictable. Fuel efficiency is improved by as much as 40% and top speeds as much as 35% with this feature.
