Four Aquila catamaran models nominated for Yacht Style Awards 2026

The 2026 Yacht Style Awards nominees were recently announced, and four Aquila catamaran models earned spots on the shortlist: the Aquila 36 Molokai, Aquila 45 Sport, Aquila 46 Yacht, and Aquila 50 Sail. Winners will be announced on April 22 at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove in Singapore, on the eve of the Singapore Yachting Festival.

An acclaimed fixture in the yachting calendar, the Yacht Style Awards draws an invitation-only audience of over 300 VIPs, yacht owners, and industry figures across more than 30 categories.

Power catamaran under 12m nominee: Aquila 36 Molokai

The Aquila 36 Molokai is a purpose-built fishing catamaran that made its global debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October 2025. Developed with Peart Yacht Design — the studio behind the 47 Molokai — it delivers serious offshore capability in a trailerable 36-foot package.

What sets it apart in its class is the cabin. A private head, optional air-conditioning via an off-grid lithium battery package, and hull-side windows for natural light give the 36 Molokai genuine overnight capability — something rare at this size. For anglers who want to reach more distant grounds without sacrificing comfort, that changes the equation.

On deck, a single-level layout with no step-up at the bow keeps movement unobstructed from stem to stern. The standard side tuna door, leaning post with bait prep station, and full walk-around capability in front of the engines cover the fishing fundamentals. Double-stepped hulls and a carbon fiber hardtop — structurally engineered to support an optional tower without reinforcement — take care of the rest.

Power catamaran under 12-16m nominees: Aquila 45 Sport and Aquila 46 Yacht

Two Aquila models appear on the three-boat shortlist in this category. They represent very different sides of what a power catamaran in this size class can be.

AQUILA 45 SPORT

The Aquila 45 Sport is the largest model in the Aquila Sport range and made its world premiere at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March 2026. Designed with Florida-based Yacht Design Works, its profile draws from luxury SUVs — bold lines, a commanding stance, and a layout built for groups.

The defining feature is the aft cockpit. Hydraulic flip-down hull side terraces extend the beam from 15 to 19 feet, pulling guests closer to the water and creating one of the more generous social spaces in this size range. Two U-shaped seating areas convert to a large sunbed, the galley supports optional BBQ and television installations, and an integrated stainless-steel swim ladder keeps water access seamless.

Twin 600HP Mercury Verado V12 engines and double-stepped hull technology put top speed above 50 mph, with efficient cruising in the 30-40 mph range. Below deck, a king-size cabin with a private wet head and ceiling skylight handles overnight stays comfortably. CE certification covers B, C, and D classes.

AQUILA 46 YACHT

The Aquila 46 Yacht brings the Explorer aesthetic of the 50 Yacht into a more intimate package. With a 23'3" beam, it creates interior volume that rivals considerably larger vessels — and backs that up with CE Category A ocean certification for serious offshore use.

It made its global debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025, followed by its Americas premiere at Fort Lauderdale in October. Available in three, four, or five-cabin configurations, it is built to adapt as plans evolve — the four-cabin version converts back to a three-cabin owner's layout when needed. Panoramic windows, a full galley with induction cooktop and household-sized refrigeration, and an expansive flybridge with direct bow access make it equally capable of extended cruising and effortless entertaining. The optional Aquila Hydro Glide foil assist system is available for those who want greater efficiency on longer passages.

The 46 Yacht will make her Asia-Pacific debut at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

Sailing catamaran under 14-18m nominee: Aquila 50 Sail

The Aquila 50 Sail is Aquila's first sailing catamaran and earned a nomination alongside the Bali 5.2, Catana Ocean Class², and Leopard 52. It made its world premiere at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2026, its European debut follows at the International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte — in the same week as the Yacht Style gala — and its Asia-Pacific debut is set for the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

Developed with long-standing design partner J&J Design, the 50 Sail is available as the 50ES with Hybrid Ocean Drive electric propulsion or the 50DS with diesel engines. Four, five, or six-cabin configurations are available below deck, each with a private entrance, ensuite facilities, and full-size walk-in showers. The owner's cabin features large hull-side windows and a layout that takes full advantage of the space.

On deck, a bow cockpit creates a social zone forward, with bridge-to-bow access keeping movement around the boat easy. A solid bow rather than a trampoline adds usable space and reflects a deliberate choice about how people actually use the boat. The salon and galley feature panoramic windows that keep the interior connected to the water rather than closed off from it.

The 50 Sail is also a nominee for the Multihull of the Year 2026 award. Voting is open through April 18, with winners announced at La Grande Motte on April 22.

Proud of the company we keep

Alongside the four boat nominations, Aquila's shipyard Sino Eagle earned a nomination in the Builder in Asia category. Sino Eagle operates the purpose-built facility in Hangzhou, China where all Aquila models are produced — 500 employees, four construction buildings, and a build process grounded in vinylester resin infusion across every model in the range. Their nomination alongside Horizon, Cheoy Lee, and other well-regarded Asia-Pacific shipyards reflects the consistency behind every boat that leaves that facility. That recognition belongs to them.

On the dealer side, Tam Son Yachting (Vietnam) is among the nominees for Domestic Dealer in Asia. Europa Yachts (Indonesia and the Philippines), Marine Italia Asia (Hong Kong), and Primus Marine (Thailand and Singapore for power catamarans, and Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia for sail) each appear among the nominees for Regional Dealer in Asia. These are their recognitions to claim, earned through the work they do daily in markets where the appetite for Aquila continues to grow.

See Aquila at the Singapore Yachting Festival

The Yacht Style Awards gala is on the eve of the Singapore Yachting Festival, and Aquila will be on the water when the festival opens. Primus Marine will have the Aquila 54 Yacht, 42 Coupe, and 42 Yacht on display, with members of the Aquila team on hand throughout the show.
