He approached Frank Xiong of Sino Eagle and Bill McGill, co-founder and then CEO of MarineMax, with his vision to build power catamarans to sell throughout the United States and get the best people on board. After implementing a vision that encompasses performance, innovation, and quality, along with bringing in award-winning designers, the company stayed true to its beliefs and experienced tremendous growth. Since its inception, Aquila has expanded into a global brand with a dealer network of more than 90 locations in 22 countries, including the United States, with exclusive distributorship through MarineMax. In addition to spreading its wings in other locations and countries, Aquila has also grown in terms of its lineup and facility size. Aquila started with the 44 Yacht as its first boat in the model lineup, which is still the most popular model today. Since that time, Aquila’s lineup has grown to include Offshore and Sport models built in one of the most environmentally friendly and employee-responsible factories in the world. This facility encompasses over 1,076,391 ft² (100,000 m²) of workshop space and 450 full-time employees—allowing Aquila the capacity to produce over 300 boats annually. Check out the facility here.
